Mr. Russell joins Roberts & Ryan with over 17 years of experience in equity and institutional financial markets. He holds FINRA Series 24, 7, and 63 licenses and is a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Prior to joining Roberts & Ryan, Mr. Russell advised companies in the energy, industrial and technology sectors on value creation and digital transformation strategies as Global Solutions Director for Solutions strategic projects (SPS).
For 14 years prior to SPS, Mr. Russell provided institutional equities sales and investment banking services as Director of Institutional Equities at Howard Weil, a leading investment bank in the equities space. energy. Prior to Howard Weil, Mr. Russell began his career in institutional equities at Southcoast Capital and completed the executive development program at Perot Systems.
Mr. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Alabama. Upon graduation, Mr. Russell was accepted and successfully completed the United States Marine Corps Officer Training Program in Quantico, Virginia.
During his active duty in the Marine Corps, he served with the 1/8 Battalion Landing Team, 26th MEU (SOC) in Operation Silver Wake. Throughout his active reserve service, he served with the 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He led the Marines in Battery I 3/10, BLT 1/8, 1st ANGLICO and 3rd Force recognition. His Marine Corps qualifications include Gunnery Officer, Reserve Infantry Officer, Amphibious Reconnaissance School, Navy and Marine Corps Paratrooper, Marine Combat Diver, and SERE.
Mr. Russell was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He currently resides in South Florida with his wife and two daughters.
