We all love a good garden together, and you can’t beat the grilled taste you get from a barbecue on a hot summer evening with a few chills.
We’re set to have the hottest summer for ten years in the UK this year, which means plenty of hot dog opportunities – real hot dogs, not just pictures of your legs going look like them in the sun.
We’ve rounded up some of the best budget gas and electric grills on the market so you can get ready for summer.

Argos Home 3-burner gas barbecue, £ 95
Argos says it can cook up to twelve people, so plenty of room to sizzle juicy steaks for your party of six.
This barbecue also includes a side table for food preparation, a warming rack, hooks for your utensils and a side burner as well as the three main burners. The barbecue comes with a propane gas regulator, but you can also use butane gas if you buy a regulator.

ASDA Expert Grill 3-burner gas barbecue, £ 99
This compact black barbecue features a hinged porcelain lid (for slow cooking), 3 independently controlled burners, a heated grill and wheels for easy mobility.
For added convenience, there are two side shelves, hooks for your barbecue tools, and towel rails. ASDA claims that its porcelain enamel cooking grill also makes it easy to clean.
This neat little barbecue uses propane gas and comes with the regulator and hose. It’s available online and in stores – but it’s currently out of stock online and will be “back soon”. You can check availability here.
Argos Home 4-burner gas barbecue, £ 120
the 4-burner Argos gas barbecue can cook up to 15 people, so it’s a good choice if you have more mouths to feed while still being reasonably priced.
It includes a side burner to cook smaller dishes and a chromed steel wire heating rack to keep your cooked food warm. The barbecue also has a lid, fire bowl, control panel and two wheels, so it’s easy to get around.
This barbecue has electronic ignition and works with propane or butane. The barbecue comes with the propane gas regulator, but you will need to purchase a regulator for the butane gas if you plan to use it.

Lidl Tepro 3-burner gas barbecue, £ 179
It includes a “versatile” cooking zone as well as two independently controlled burners, a heating grid and temperature control dials.
It has four doors and plenty of hooks for hanging utensils, making everything accessible to the chef. The barbecue is also equipped with wheels for easy movement.
There’s also a double-walled stainless steel hood with its own built-in thermometer, so you can make sure you’re cooking your sausages properly.
